I like these guys. They're friendly and the food they serve is always fresh and plenty of it. The prices are fair as well. Always seem to walk out satisfied.

I've gone here the past two days for lunch - friendly staff and fast service in addition to some yummy food! I get the fresh juice (made right as you order it ) and the toasties (regular or croissant both are tasty!).

A bit a cafe on the cheap side: aluminium tables & chairs, lighting and above all the choice of coffee beans. While the service is speedy, the care and passion for coffee isn't really there. Milk is frothed while other tasks are attended to. The choice of coffee beans isn't particularly enticing. As a result of all that the taste of coffee is characterless and even bitter at times.
Two stars for speedy and friendly service.
Tropicana cafe's tag-line says they've been around since 1957, and I'm not sure if this outlet is just a poor copy of the more famous business in Darlinghurst (which spells Tropicana caffe), but one would think that they've learnt their trade in all those years.
